  • 2010The Student Council coordinated fundraisers for the Haiti Relief Fund, to respond to the earthquake disaster in Haiti 
    2011Renowned mystery author Archer Mayor was the special guest at the 11th Annual Ziggy Ostrowski Mystery Writers’ Contest Banquet at Kurn Hattin Homes 
    2012Christopher W. Barry retired after 40 years of service (17 years as Executive Director)
    2013Thomas G. Fahner and Connie Sanderson were installed as Co-Executive Directors 
    2014Legendary jazz trombonist Richard (Dick) T. Nash ’42 was presented with Kurn Hattin’s first ever Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award, while surrounded by his family and fellow graduates at the 120th Anniversary Celebration 
    2014Music Director Lisa Bianconi was honored as a top ten finalist for GRAMMY Music Educator of the Year 
    2014Connie Sanderson was the first woman installed as Executive Director 
    2014The Alumni Association and friends celebrated the 120th Anniversary of Kurn Hattin’s founding 
    2015Thomas G. Fahner passed away after nearly 25 years of service 
    2015Solar panels were erected on the west end of campus in partnership with the Whitney-Blake Company (1530 panels total)
    2015The Kurn Hattin Select Choir performed The National Anthem at Fenway Park in September, opening for the Boston Red Sox against the Tampa Bay Rays 
    2015Stephen Harrison was installed as Executive Director 
    2017Malcolm “Sam” Streeter passed away. Sam served as Principal from 1956-1985, as Trustee from 1998-2015, and was elected Trustee Emeritus in 2015
    20182018 Planning underway for Kurn Hattin’s 125th Anniversary Celebration
    2019Kurn Hattin celebrates its 125th anniversary kicking off with the Select Choir Star-Spangled Banner Heritage Tour
