Kurn Hattin Boys Track & Field Wins Small School State Championship at Vermont Rec & Parks State Meet

August 3, 2019

We am happy to share that our boys team won the Small School State Championship at Vermont Rec & Parks State Meet today at St. Johnsbury Academy. Please congratulate Jacob B, Jakobie, Ethan, Ryan, Logan, Cameron, and Matthew.

We also placed 2nd overall (including the large schools) in the 13-14 year boys division after Champlain Valley.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • State Champions: Jacob (400 meter dash), Ryan (Discus)
  • 2nd place: Jakobie (Shot Put, Discus), Jacob (200 meter dash), Cameron (Shot Put), 4 x 100 meter relay (Jacob, Ethan, Jakobie, Ryan)
  • 3rd place: Ethan (Long Jump, 200 meter dash), Jacob (Discus), Amaya (Shot Put)

A special thanks goes out to Shaun Edwards and Colleen Ross for their amazing coaching, and Bob Anderson and Shaun Edwards for taking pictures. We were also fortunate to have Amaya and Elizabeth join on girls team.
