Area Students Wowed at Kurn Hattin’s 20th Annual Choral Invitational

March 26, 2012 |  Westminster, Vermont – On Wednesday, March 21st, seven local middle and high schools wowed the standing room only audience at Kurn Hattin Homes’ 20th Annual Choral Invitational.

The schools – Bellows Falls Middle School, Walpole Middle School, Fall Mountain Regional High School Madrigal Singers, St. Joseph School, Leland & Gray Middle School, Leland & Gray A Capella Group, and Kurn Hattin School all performed three selections each. Some of the songs were instrumentally accompanied by both staff and students. Special guests that evening were professional performers Tim Janis and Moonlight Davis. Both volunteer their time with the children at the Homes. Moonlight Davis joined the Kurn Hattin students on I’ll Fly Away and Tim Janis recorded the entire show. Canned goods and cash donations were collected by the student council for the food shelf at Our Place in Bellows Falls. It was a remarkable evening showcasing the music being made in our schools. Mark your calendars, on Wednesday, April 11, Kurn Hattin will also be hosting the Kurn Hattin Jazz Band Invitational at 7 p.m.
