It’s Spring Fling–Bring the Whole Family!

Vermont’s beautiful springtime weather is finally here, which means it’s time to head up, down,  across the highway or river to Kurn Hattin for a full day of outdoor activities and fun for the whole family! Kurn Hattin Homes for Children will be holding its annual Spring Fling event on Saturday, May 6th from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Admission is free (Good will offering gratefully appreciated) and all are invited!

The day kicks off for early rising runners for the Fahner 5K Fun Run, with registration beginning at 7:30am. Young runners between the ages of 5-9 will have a 1K Fun Run at 9:00am. Expect to see Horse Program demonstrations at 10:00am, or join in line dancing! Area schools will participate in the baseball and softball tournament throughout the day. At 12:30pm, Motion Man will be under the big tent. The Westminster Fire Department will have a fire educational trailer and lift bucket ride for all to experience! Other activities include face painting, field games, an inflatable bounce house, and a Velcro wall.

The Spring Fling is designed to provide the youth of Vermont and New Hampshire with a fun-filled day celebrating the arrival of spring, while promoting healthy drug-free activities. For more information, contact Karen Lansberry at klansberry@kurnhattin.org or call 802.721.6918. See you there!
