Kim Fine Joins NH/VT Council of Charitable Gift Planners Board

July 3, 2019

Kim Fine, Director of Development and Public Relations at Kurn Hattin Homes for Children in Westminster, Vermont has recently joined the Board of Directors at The New Hampshire & Vermont Council of Charitable Gift Planners. The NH/VT Council of Charitable Gift Planners offers training, support, and networking opportunities for professionals throughout the two states.

The Council provides training throughout the year. Members and attendees include Nonprofit CEOs, Development Directors and Officers, Planned Giving Officers, Attorneys, Accountants, Financial and Investment, Advisors, and Consultants. The Council comes together to learn about charitable gift planning and to get to know one another. The connection between nonprofit staff members and professional advisors is central to the effectiveness of the Council. Nonprofit staff get to know advisors to whom they can refer their donors. Professional advisors learn more about the nonprofit community, so they can help clients better meet their charitable intentions. In a largely rural area, the Council provides members with a sense of community and a deeper knowledge of their work. Council sponsors are UVM Foundation, Dartmouth-Hitchcock/Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth, Philanthropy Resource Group, New Hampshire Community Foundation, The Vermont Community Foundation, Alan Cantor Consulting, Pentera, Sheehey Furlong & Behm PC, and site sponsor Montshire Museum of Science.
