Letter From a Mother

July 1, 2014

“A place of hope for children and families”… truer words could not describe who and what Kurn Hattin Homes represents.

Kurn Hattin equals family! Kurn Hattin has taught me and my family that if it looks impossible, it is only temporary…just wait and keep at it.

Everyone who walks through the doors of Kurn Hattin enters a world where respect, trust, and honesty are both awarded to and expected of every resident, worker, and visitor. Kurn Hattin is a world where people come to heal themselves, reunite with families, and build new lives.

I am grateful for the time and effort that has been given to my daughter, Gizelle (see page 12), even after she departed from Kurn Hattin. Gizelle graduated from Vermont Academy on Saturday, May 23, 2009; I am proud of our experiences through this journey. This was made possible with the love, generosity and care Gizelle received from Kurn Hattin.

I especially want to thank Tom and his lovely wife Donna for their unfailing support and mentoring of Gizelle. Thank you for always being there for us.

~Sincerely grateful,
Janet Cintron
